Wylie Burp is the dog sheriff and one of the two overarching protagonists (alongside Papa Mousekewitz) of the 1991 sequel, An American Tail: Fievel Goes West. Fievel told him about Cat R. Waul's evil plan, and they join forces together to stop Cat R. Waul from turning the mice of Green River and Fievel's family into mouseburgers. After Cat R. Waul and his men flew into the mail bag, Wylie and Fievel talk for a while.
