John Hurt is an English actor. He is well known for his role as Hazel in the 1978 film Watership Down, Kane in the 1979 film Alien, Joseph Merrick in the 1980 film The Elephant Man, and in Disney's 1985 animated film, The Black Cauldron, as The Horned King. He also narrates Human Planet, a documentary showing how human beings interact with nature. He has won a Golden Globe, two Oscars, and four BAFTAS. In Thumbelina, John voices Mr. Mole. He died from pancreatic cancer.
