Jacquimo has a very caring, optimistic attitude. Always wanting to encourage others to "follow their heart", believing they can impossible things, no matter what and always helping others on their way. He enjoys romance stories, beautiful things, and singing. Despite this, Jacquimo seems to have a softly egotistical nature, as he repeatedly talks about himself in a flamboyant style, or simply get obsessed over the idea of telling lessons to Thumbelina; even going as far as being annoying sometimes, repeating the same lesson over and over again. However, Jacquimo is also benevolent enough to put Thumbelina's happiness over his own life.
