Honest John is a large chubby mouse who is a supporting character in An American Tail. He is a political stereotype to the Irish folk of Tammany Hall. He was voiced by cartoon voice actor Neil Ross. He wears a navy blue tuxedo suit, white dress shirt with black bow tie, orange vest with yellow buttons, white gloves (like the kind worn by Mickey Mouse), gray pants, orange flower on the lapel, and a gray top hat with a black band around the brim.

He shared the same name one of the Pinocchio villains.
