Harold John "Hal" Smith (August 24, 1916 – January 28, 1994) was an American actor and voice actor, who was best known for his role as Otis Campbell, the town drunk on CBS's The Andy Griffith Show. He was also the original voice of John Avery Whittaker in the radio series Adventures in Odyssey.
For Don Bluth, Smith voiced Moe in An American Tail, Mordroc, Daphne's mother, Cheshire Cat, Card Soldiers and the Time Machine in Dragon's Lair II: Time Warp.
