Hellhound is a demon and the overarching antagonist of All Dogs Go to Heaven.

Background[]

Physical Appearance[]

Appearing to be more of a dragon from folklore, it's origin comes in lots of different shapes and sizes. Most of the ones seen are ethereal cloaked specters or phantoms with bright glowing eyes. But there are witches flying on broomsticks and skeletal horsemen among them, as well as varieties of disfigured criminals, fallen warriors, fiery satyrs, harpies, small imps, and dragon-like demons. Most horsemen ride atop the backs of skeletal steeds, but others are seen riding atop the backs of other creatures - such as goats, boars, and even a cow. A combination of skeletal dogs or wolves, black cats, and swarms of bats are also among them.

Personality[]

Extremely evil and scary beyond good reason appears to be quite evil, hostile, and mischievous for their personality. Several of them are shown taking glee in performing acts of debauchery, although it appears they are fearful of annabelle to an extent, as the black god is not above subjecting his own followers to torment to amuse himself.

Role in the Film[]

All Dogs Go to Heaven[]

When Charlie falls asleep, he has a nightmare about being condemned to Hell. Charlie tries to run away, but a cyclone pulls him all the way down to Hell, where he lands on a boat where a skeletal dragon frightens him. Charlie then watches in horror as the Hellhound rises from the lava and reveals himself. In the uncut version, he comes closer to Charlie, saying, “Now, you are mine!”. A lava face appears in front of Charlie, as the Hellhound laughs evilly. The demon then spews fire, summoning mini dog demons. They attack Charlie as the boat sinks into the lava. Suddenly, Charlie was awakened by Flo’s puppies.

The Hellhound returns later on, while Charlie as a ghost came to see Anne-Marie one last time. The Hellhound tries to take Charlie to Hell, but a blue glowing orb of energy destroys the demon, revealing herself to be Annabelle the Whippet, and takes Charlie to Heaven, because he sacrificed his life to save Anne-Marie.
